Trimble has introduced the Kenai tablet, a ruggedized, all-in-one computing solution designed for transportation, public safety, filed service, forestry, utilities, mapping, insurance and other outdoor or service-related applications.

The Kenai tablet features a 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch screen with WUXGA display technology designed for use in environments such as heavy rain or bright sunlight. Running the Windows 10 Professional operating system, it has a 1.46 GHz Intel Atom dual-core processor with 8 GB of memory and a solid state hard drive with a capacity of up to 256 GB.

The Kenai also has expandable abilities with two USB 2.0 slots, a serial port and a removable battery.

Standard features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and an 8-megapixel camera for video and photos for data collection in applications like distributed asset management, work order management, and fleet logistics. It can also be equipped with optional 4G LTE.

The Tablet meets MIL-STD-810G military standards for drops, vibration and humidity and with an IP65 rating it is protected against dust and water and features a 2-year warranty.
