DuraSweeper from Bluff Manufacturing cleans snow and debris off the roofs and decks of trailers, truck bodies and buses.
It uses a 32-inch poly wafer brush that is mounted on an axle to two uprights and angled for effective snow removal. The cylindrical brush rotates, sweeping materials to one side and away from the travel lane used by vehicles being cleaned.
Galvanized steel framework supports the brush and allows automatic raising or lowering to match a vehicle’s height. Brush wafers can be replaced as needed. Eleven states have regulations related to snow on vehicles and two more have pending legislation, the company said.
