Slovakia-based Sygic has made its truck mobile device-based navigation application available in the North American market.
The company currently offers its navigation apps in Europe and Russia. The Sygic Truck Navigation application uses truck-specific maps that include a user-defined vehicle type variable as well as features such as locating points-of-interest, parking and fuel locations.
According to the company’s announcement, the product targets bus drivers and RVers in addition to truck drivers. The system operates offline – an Internet connection is only required at installation, while installing updates or to access optional add-on services.
The app is available for Android devices on Google play.
