CrossFleet, Fayetteville, Ark., said its Locate app can track GPS location data from all driver cell phones and display that information on smart phones and tablets via the mobile app or an online dashboard.
The company said the service does not require additional IT infrastructure or a fixed-term contract. Carriers and shippers pay “per ping” or per use. The app can integrate with shipper and carrier TMS systems, making load and shipment data readily available.
The application is available for free download from the Apple iStore or from Google Play’s online store.
