Chief has introduced the Centurion, a frame rack designed for performing frame repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
With custom lengths up to 80 feet,, technicians can drive heavy-duty vehicles into position on the Centurion, swing the towers into position and begin work. Each tower provides 55 tons of pulling power and Chief says the Centurion can straighten any truck, trailer, bus or other heavy-duty vehicle.
The deck comes in 40-, 60-, and 80-foot lengths but is available in any custom length that a customer needs. There is also a choice between 10- and 14-foot tall hydraulic towers. The towers move independently to allow true 360-degree pulling. Tower adjustments to position for the correct pull are non-strenuous due to lightweight aluminum rollers and high-strength 5/8-inch 100-grade chain located in each tower.
The deck of the Centurion is pre-plumbed with air, controls and hydraulic outlets every 10 feet. As each hydraulic tower is rolled into position, it can be plugged in and made ready for work.
The drive-on ramps for the Centurion have spring-loaded rollers for easy movability. When in use, they are chained and locked to the rack. Ramps can be moved to either end for drive-on and drive-off accessibility or rolled out of the way when not needed.
