Dieselcraft’s #OX-20 diesel fuel test is designed to test fuel for oxidation to prevent sludge buildup and other harmful substances.
The fuel test shows results in less than 20 minutes and will indicate that fuel is bad with a black reaction layer in the test vial. If the test reveals no reaction, the fuel does not need additives or extra filtering. One of the first signs of oxidation is darkening of the fuel. Older and darker fuel is less efficient and will lead to tank sludge and filter plugging.
