Carrier Transicold improved the warranty coverage for its Vector trailer refrigeration units extending mileage and warranty length on several models.

The warranties for the hybrid Vector 8500 and Vector 8600MT units were extended to 48 month/ 8,000 hour major component coverage for the engine, generator and compressor – up from 36 month/ 6,000 hours.

“Eliminating mechanical parts, such as belts, pulleys, compressor shaft seals and vibrasorbers that require service and periodic replacement, reduces service requirements,” said Patrick McDonald, product manager at Carrier Transicold. “It’s one of the key reasons we’re able to offer improved warranty coverage for our latest models.”

On the multi-temp Vector 8600MT, basic warranty coverage has been extended to 36 month/ 6,000 hours, triple the warranty for prior remote evaporators, says Carrier Transicold.

The Vector 8100 engineless unit now has its warranty length extended to 10,000 hours on both the 36 month basic coverage and 48 month major component coverage plans. All Vector units will continue to offer 12 months of unlimited coverage and 36 month/ 6,000 hour limited coverage for the entire unit.
