Sylectus, a business unit of Omnitracs, Canada, and BigRoad announced BigRoad's smartphone-based driver's log app now integrates with Sylectus' cloud-based transportation management systems.

The companies said the integration allows drivers to transmit duty status changes, trip updates and paperwork directly from the BigRoad app on their smartphone or tablet to a fleet’s TMS, allowing fleets to track drivers’ location and hours of service status in real time.

In a press announcement, Terry Frey, chief operating officer and co-founder of BigRoad said his company has taken “a very open approach to the market, integrating with critical fleet technologies.”

Stuart Sutton, general manager of Sylectus said the integration offers their customers “a more interactive way to dispatch and track drivers and monitor their HOS data.”
