Nikola doesn't just make hydrogen and electric big trucks; the company is an up-and-coming player in the motor sports and off-road vehicle markets. On the same evening the company rolled out the Nikola Two hydrogen electric Class 8 truck, it also unveiled two off-road 4x4s and a personal watercraft. Photos by Jim Park

Every Nikola NZT comes standard with four independent motors, one at each wheel.

The Wav from Nikola is an all-electric sit-down personal watercraft runs more or less silently and leaves no traces of itself in its wake.

The Nikola Wav features a waterproof 12-inch, 4K display in the dashboard, LED lights in the front and back, and even has cruise control.

Dubbed the "Reckless," this battery powered all-wheel drive was designed for defense applications. It is nearly silent and has a low thermal signature due to its state-of-the-art refrigerant cooling system.

The Reckless can travel up to 150 miles on a full charge and can go from 0-60 mph in just 4 seconds.

The Nikola-designed e-axles integrate inverter, gearbox and e-motors all-in-one and are what deliver staggering performance like 590 hp and 775 ft-lbs of torque.

The NZT features Fox 3.0 Factory Series Internal Bypass shocks with 18 inches of travel, dual speed compression and 4 rebound stages with bottom-out control.

The Wav should be available in the mid-2020s, but interested buyers can reserve one today at nikolamotor.com.

Reckless was designed with modularity in mind. Multiple technologies and components, such as gun platforms or drone launchers can be easily added as needed.

A lower center of gravity for the Reckless means more control, faster cornering, and fewer rollovers. Batteries are installed inside the bottom frame rail and each wheel-end has its own motor.

The Reckless is battery powered and so requires no air to support combustion. It can remain submerged in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes.

Reckless has the power capacity to support anything from remote weapon systems to powering command centers.
