Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas, Texas, known as ACS, announced that truckload giant Werner Enterprises Inc. has implemented TripPak EXPRESS

, the drop box network.
ACS acquired TripPak with its parent company, TMI, in February. Werner Enterprises, Omaha, Neb., operates 8,425 trucks and 22,960 trailers throughout North America.
TripPak provides daily document collection and overnight delivery service from more than 1,500 truckstops, distribution centers and terminal facilities in the U.S. and Canada. Werner is retiring its proprietary drop box network for the TripPak network that dramatically expands the available locations that Werner drivers can use to submit trip envelopes and related documents for expedited processing.
"We continually strive to improve service to our drivers and we constantly review our available options," said John J. Steele, chief financial officer for Werner Enterprises. "To improve driver satisfaction, reduce out-of-route miles, and reduce time delays that become more critical with the new hours of service rules, we felt this was the right time to go with TripPak. We considered expanding our existing drop box network and we looked at other options, but TripPak delivers the efficiencies we require and we have confidence that ACS can deliver."
