Aether Systems Inc., a leading provider of wireless and mobile data solutions, has announced that Duplainville Transport, the dedicated trucking company for Quad Graphics, plans to convert its entire fleet of 200 trucks to Aether MobileMax
for wireless fleet tracking and messaging.
Based in Sussex, Wis., Quad Graphics is one of the largest printing companies in the country, with more than 11,000 employees and a 2 million square-foot print production site. Duplainville Transport delivers more than 35 million pounds of printed product and parcels each week for Quad Graphics to United States Postal Service entry points.
Quad Graphics such magazines as Newsweek, TIME and Smithsonian.
Duplainville Transport has been using integrated mobile communications in its fleet for several years and recently decided to move to a next-generation solution. After evaluating several alternatives in the market, the company decided to adopt Aether's MobileMax.
John Drake, fleet manager for Duplainville Transport, said, "By converting to MobileMax, we will improve visibility and communication with our fleet."
Aether MobileMax uses a multi-mode system that automatically switches between land-based and satellite communications without driver or dispatcher intervention to ensure complete coverage and more cost-efficient communications. The MobileMax system transmits dispatch and data messages and GPS position reports, and provides data on state-line crossings, vehicle fault codes, and driver performance.
