MC3000 with rotating scanner
The new Symbol MC3000 handheld is a small, lightweight, highly ergonomic, rugged mobile computer for businesses seeking to increase productivity and flexibility from in-store and backroom data capture applications. The new MC3000 handheld is based on the Intel XScale processor with Microsoft Windows CE .NET computing platform.
According to Symbol’s announcement, the MC3000 is a reliable, cost-effective solution for retail workers who perform inventory replenishment, price audits, warehouse shipping/receiving and other scan-intensive applications. The MC3000 device can also be by workers who require a secure, rugged device in the transportation and logistics, postal and other industries.
The MC3000 handheld features support:
* Advanced scanning and imaging technologies to capture mission-critical information in both batch and wireless LAN -- Wi-Fi, (802.11b and 802.11g) for example.
* Rotating scan turret with left, right and front positions so user can adjust scanning positions for increased comfort and productivity.

* Support for Symbol's Mobility Services Platform agent, enabling corporations to monitor and manage the handhelds in real-time.
The MC3000 provides a migration path from legacy DOS-based application environments to the more intuitive and familiar user-interface of the adaptable Microsoft Windows CE NET 4.2 computing platform.
