The site is at the same web address as its predecessor, www.roadranger.com.
The newly enhanced site offers rapid access, attractive graphics, impressive depth of information and fun features such as interactive Flash demos of transmission shift patterns. The site provides support for products in the Roadranger System, products produced and marketed jointly by the Eaton Corp. and Dana Corp.
According to Roadranger, the site's new features include easy-to-use links for specifications, features, ratios, etc.; an enhanced literature center; a “print-on-demand” feature that sends documents to local Kinkos stores for printing and same-day pick-up or free delivery; a new warrantee area that displays individual warranty coverage for registered products and a frequently-asked-questions section tailored to specific users -- truck owner, truck maker, truck dealer.
Site visitors can sign up for the twice-monthly “Roadranger E-News” newsletter, which provides updates on new products, information bulletins, service and parts information.
“Since we launched our first site in 1995, the growing acceptance of web-based support by our customers has allowed us to serve them better and faster with day-in, day-out virtual service”, said Roadranger marketing services manager Don Alles.
Alles said that visitors downloaded more than 260,000 pieces of Roadranger literature in the month of November 2002.
Alles said Roadranger plans an expansion of the “Roadranger Store” (www.roadrangerstore.com), an ecommerce site that launched in 2001 where Roadranger customers can purchase Roadranger Lubricant and drivetrain angle analysis software. Alles said a newly designed online store is expected to launch next year. Meanwhile, the current online store can be reached through the Roadranger Store link on the main Roadranger.com menu.
