The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series No. 29 Power Stroke Diesel Ford made a pit stop this week at the Alexandria, Va. headquarters of the American Trucking Assns.

And while it was there, driver Terry Cook picked up some new colors to carry for the remainder of the NCTS season.
Specifically, No. 29 will sport ATA’s red, white and blue triangle as a "thanks" from NASCAR to its trucking industry fans for their support. The logo represents the safe driving and hard work ATA’s motor carriers and professional truck drivers do every day as the industry celebrates its 100th anniversary.
ATA member International Truck contributed the sponsor advertising space and Engine Corp. International builds the popular Power Stroke diesel engine for the Ford Motor Co. and is the primary sponsor of the No. 29 Ford.
"This is a great honor for our carriers and their drivers," said Bill Graves, ATA president and CEO. "I join all of the trucking industry’s NASCAR fans — and I’m one of them — in thanking International, Terry Cook and the K Automotive team.
"Whether they’re racing their four-wheelers or whether we’re moving freight in our 18-wheelers, all truck drivers have a common goal of wanting to get the job done safely," Graves added.
The ATA logo will make its first run Friday at Dover Downs in Delaware.
Cook, a four-time winner on the NCTS circuit last year, is seventh in this year’s standings.
