AmeriQuest Transportation and Logistics Resources Corp. introduced its third trucking industry portal, CarrierFleetXchange.
CarrierFleetXchange allows commercial trucking fleets to buy major brands of tires, lubricants, batteries, brakes, engines, transmissions, tools, truck bodies, shop tools, lift trucks and more at improved pricing levels. This is accomplished through the added volume represented by the users in combination with existing AmeriQuest users. The system features opportunities for regional trucking companies beyond procurement like transportation services. In addition, CarrierFleetXchange includes interactive forums for participants, reviews of products and support information posted by vendors.
AmeriQuest officials forecast that users of the new service may see savings on procurement of between 10 percent and 25 percent, depending on the product line.
The new site joins FoodFleetXchange and FleetXchange, which cover fleets across all industries. All three sites, which currently represent 750,000 power units, are open to qualified fleet professionals.
A critical feature of CarrierFleetXchange is that companies using the system continue to do business with their current suppliers, maintaining what is typically a decades-old relationship. Credit issues and payments go through the AmeriQuest e-commerce system, which is automated so there is no paperwork.
