National Truck Equipment Assn. Releases Manufacturer Compensation Report
The typical truck equipment manufacturer has $12 million in annual sales and 85 employees, according to the recently released 2005 National Truck Equipment Assn. (NTEA) Manufacturer Employee Compensation and Benefits Report

The typical truck equipment manufacturer has $12 million in annual sales and 85 employees, according to the recently released 2005 National Truck Equipment Assn. (NTEA) Manufacturer Employee Compensation and Benefits Report.
Featuring information about compensation levels and benefit programs, the report provides detailed analyses of executive and employee compensation, including base salary, commission or bonus and benefit levels.
Data is presented for the typical NTEA manufacturer member and by company sales volume category. Among the findings, 26% of survey respondents indicated their organizations offer cash at year-end and 61% provide educational assistance.
Truck equipment manufacturers can use the report to gauge the competitiveness of their compensation packages. The information also helps companies prove their compensation packages are reasonable within the constraints of the Internal Revenue Code.
The survey was conducted and compiled by Profit Planning Group, a research firm based in Boulder, Co. Participants have received the report at no charge. It is available to nonparticipating NTEA members for $50; nonmembers may purchase a copy for $100. For more information, go to www.ntea.com.
Established in 1964, the NTEA represents nearly 1,600 companies that manufacture, distribute, install, sell and repair commercial trucks, truck bodies, truck equipment, trailers and accessories. Buyers of work trucks and the major commercial truck chassis manufacturers also belong. NTEA provides in-depth technical information, education and money-saving opportunities through its member programs, publications, services and sponsorship of The Work Truck Show. The administrative headquarters are in suburban Detroit and a government relations office is in Washington, DC.
