The 33rd annual Mid-America Trucking Show gets under way in Louisville, Ky., later this month, with the entire industry focused on March 25 – opening day.

More than 1,000 industry companies from the continental U.S. and 12 other countries are expected to attend this year’s show, an event that is the focal point of the heavy duty trucking industry.
The show will encompass more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center in Louisville.
Along with ground-breaking product innovations and the latest in product unveilings, visitors will be able to see revolutionary business solutions, cutting-edge technologies and the latest the trucking industry has to offer.
There will be educational seminars addressing industry issues and safety demonstrations, as well as the Expedite InfoCenter, where visitors can learn about this segment of the industry. The Mid-America Recruitment area will feature booths that show what trucking companies around the nation have to offer, and the latest in transportation technologies are on display at Mid-America's Internet and Technology Center.
The 4th Annual Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Championship will showcase more than 130 show trucks. NASCAR legends Ken Schrader and Elliot Sadler will make an appearance, and The Midnight Trucking Radio Network will welcome Country Music Legend Crystal Gayle. These and numerous other celebrities and entertainers are scheduled to attend.
Kenworth will present the Charlie Daniels Band and Phil Vassar at Freedom Hall at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 26. Saturday night attendees can catch The Bill Gaither Homecoming.
Traditionally, MATS has surpassed pre-show expectations, and preliminary indications are that the 2004 Mid-America Trucking Show will also be heavily attended.
Show hours are from 1 to 6 p.m., Thursday, March 25; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, March 26; and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 27.
