Logistics.com announced the launch of OptiBid 3, the company's next-generation transportation e-procurement solution.

Approximately 35 Fortune 500 shippers and third-party logistics providers and 2000 carriers have used Logistics.com's OptiBid to enable the procurement of over $7 billion in annual recurring freight services, resulting in over $480 million in savings.
Leading corporations REI, Honeywell, Smithfield Foods and United Stationers have already contracted to use OptiBid 3 as their solution for transportation e-procurement.
The enhanced OptiBid 3 gives shippers unprecedented control over the transportation procurement process, helping shippers realize savings, improve service and conduct more rapid procurement events than ever. Logistics.com says OptiBid 3 is the industry's most comprehensive and flexible transportation e-procurement solution, allowing shippers to secure transportation contracts across all modes of transportation, empowering in-house staff to run some or all of the procurement event, providing support if needed from Logistics.com's experienced professional services team, and accommodating any level of transportation network complexity.
In addition, OptiBid 3 is easier to use for carriers, giving them more time to respond creatively and cost-effectively, and improves their visibility into the bidding process.
"Bid requests prepared by OptiBid are the easiest to complete that we receive," said Dan Gaich, operations manager of Landstar Pittsburgh Agency. "Being able to filter and sort the data, or download it into a spreadsheet for internal analysis, make bid response painless and allow us to spend our time highlighting the value we can bring to the shipper. We appreciate that OptiBid considers not just price, but also takes into account our excellent service and capacity availability."
OptiBid 3 integrates seamlessly with Logistics.com's OptiManage 7 transportation management system, bridging the gap between transportation planning and execution.
Additional enhancements to OptiBid 3 enable shippers and carriers to import and export data using XML interfaces, interface with the system via MS Excel adapters and load bid data directly into the system. In addition, through OptiBid 3, shippers will now be able to analyze bid results using sophisticated "what if" analysis directly from their Web browsers-and will have the option to give carriers visibility into their rank in the bidding results.
Based in Burlington, Mass., Logistics.com delivers integrated logistics planning and execution solutions that guarantee cost savings to shippers and carriers, while maximizing service and improving capital utilization. The company links all players in the logistics and adjacent industries on a standard communication and application integration platform, Logistics Event Management Architecture (LEMA). Logistics.com's three offerings include OptiManage, a comprehensive transportation management solution for shippers; OptiBid, a strategic procurement solution for shippers; and OptiYield, a decision support and optimization solution for carriers.
