A dozen heavy duty aftermarket associations and marketing groups are participating in the inaugural Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), Jan. 23-27, 2006, at The Mirage in Las Vegas, making it the industry’s

premier and central meeting place for suppliers and distributors.
“HDAW is an industry initiative – led by distributors and suppliers – to consolidate industry meetings so that we can all recognize the time, resources and cost benefits of fewer, higher value meetings,” said Pete Joy, president of Haldex NA Sales Division, and chairman of the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Manufacturers Council.
“HDAW will address the challenges facing everyone in our industry,” Joy added. The executive conference will feature a distributor education program and an aftermarket-focused trade show with more than 200 supplier exhibitors. One-on-one business meetings will provide the unique opportunity for distributor and supplier senior executives to meet. The event will also offer new networking opportunities among a broad cross-section of participants from throughout the world.
Individual association and company functions will take place throughout HDAW, including HDMA’s 11th HD Dialogue ’06 – a business conference focusing on the technological, competitive and regulatory forces that will shape the future of the heavy duty truck industry.
“HDAW is unique in that it has been a true collaboration where each participating organization has made a commitment in resources and leadership to ensure the success of HDAW,” Joy said.
The following organizations are participating in HDAW: Heavy Duty Distribution Association, Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, Council of Fleet Specialists, Heavy Duty America, Heavy Duty Remanufacturers Group, Heavy Duty Representatives Association, National Wheel & Rim Association, Overseas Automotive Council, Power Heavy Duty, Service Specialists Association, TruckPride and VIPAR Heavy Duty. Members of these organizations receive a special registration fee. Registration is available at: www.hdaw.org.
HDAW ’06 will be held Monday, Jan. 23, through Friday, Jan. 27, at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nev. Event organizers are the Heavy Duty Distribution Association (HDDA) and the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA). Companies interested in exhibiting or sponsorship opportunities should contact W.T. Glasgow Inc., HDAW Show Management, at (708) 226-1300 or info@hdaw.org.
