Detroit Diesel Corp. (DDC) said it has formed two new departments to further enhance customer support.

Jeff Wallis has been named senior vice president of Parts, Service and Customer Support. Wallis joined Detroit Diesel in 1988 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in Aftermarket Parts Sales and Remanufacturing, including his most recent assignment as vice president of Parts Sales and Marketing.
Reporting directly to Wallis will be a combination of existing and newly formed departments including Parts, Service, Warranty and Technical Support.
Glenn Lysinger will assume the position of chief quality officer. Glenn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position with his previous roles in technical services, reliability engineering and materials engineering, including his most recent assignment as vice president of Customer Assurance.
His appointment further reinforces DDC’s commitment to quality improvement. Through this new organization, DDC will be able to strengthen its focus on improving manufacturing, supplier quality, product quality and reliability.
"These recent changes will heighten our focus on customer service from a total organizational perspective. Both Jeff and Glenn will be members of the DDC Executive Committee," said Carsten Reinhardt, president and CEO of Detroit Diesel.
