Reefer Service Inc. of Hudsonville, Mich., was named Carrier Transicold's 2006 North American Dealer of the Year at the company's annual Truck, Trailer and Rail dealer meeting held recently in San Antonio, Texas.
Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Corp., which is a unit of United Technologies Corp.
Reefer Service exemplified the 2007 dealer meeting's theme of "The New Role Models." "They demonstrate the commitment, passion, focus and unyielding desire to satisfy their customers," said Joe Porto, director of sales for Carrier Transicold.
Founded in 1982, Reefer Service has been a Carrier Transicold dealer for 16 years.
In all, 42 firms and three individuals from Carrier's North American and Latin American dealer networks were recognized for sales performance, significant investments in facilities, outstanding service and achievement of business objectives.
Carrier Transicold provides transport temperature control and anti-idling solutions with a complete line of equipment for refrigerated trucks, trailers and containers, auxiliary power units for heavy-duty trucks and transport air conditioning systems for buses and recreational vehicles.
