TransCore has introduced OpsCenter for carriers, a comprehensive web-based software application that combines TransCore's LoadLink freight matching, LinkDispatch management services, GlobalWave satellite-based
asset tracking services and ProMiles mileage into a single, easy-to-access service.
Carriers can book orders, find carriers, find freight, track their trucks, email their drivers, and process billings and payments from a single computer screen anywhere they have web access.
A distinct advantage of OpsCenter is that it makes the use of multiple software applications obsolete. Less time is spent managing operations, tying data together or correcting mistakes that occur while switching between software programs. Since OpsCenter is a monthly pay-as-you-go Web application, users access the most recent version and have access to full service and support.
"Consistent with our strategy of enabling carriers to improve operational efficiency, this product offers a variety of essential services in a seamless application," said John Worthington, president of TransCore. "So instead of having to purchase an assortment of products, a carrier can buy just one and have access to a range of services."
OpsCenter features include:
• LoadLink integration allows the user to enter a shipment and then post it automatically to both the LoadLink and DAT freight-matching systems for full North American coverage. Leads can be retrieved within OpsCenter to import the carrier and broker information
• Online operations management lets the user enter, edit, update and track shipments at the click of a mouse
• Multiple pick-ups and drop-offs are possible for more operational flexibility
• A rating system gives users the flexibility to set up tariffs to rate shipments based on origin, destination, mileage, weight or even skid rates. Fuel and other accessorial surcharges are also easily handled
• Multi-currency capability enables operation in Canadian and American dollars
• The online billing system enables immediate customer invoicing and is customizable to individual carrier operations and prints professional invoices and statements
• A built-in mileage package automatically calculates mileages on all shipments
• A fast and easy-to-use launching-pad button that takes the user directly into the fuel-tax reporting module, eliminating multiple steps and shifting between programs.
