Estes Express Lines, a multi-regional transportation provider whose fleet of more than 15,600 trailers and tractors serve 33 states, has ordered 1,500 International 8600 Model trucks.

Estes is continuing a 10-year relationship with International Truck Sales of Richmond, Va., by agreeing to purchase the trucks over the next two years.
Ray Williams, vice president of equipment maintenance at Estes, which also is based in Richmond, said, "We need total quality on the equipment we get out of the factory, and if we have a service issue, we need that truck back in service ASAP. International was chosen because it offered the best overall product value."
In order to keep Estes apprised of the latest features and maintenance tips for International trucks, the dealership has implemented several training programs, including a quarterly service integrity conference call and an in-person manufacturing quality summit that is held twice a year with key experts from International.
The International 8600 features an improved Diamond Logic electronic system that makes the trucks easier to maintain, while the enhance aerodynamics package helps with fuel economy.
