Sylectus, a unit of Qualcomm Enterprise Services, will collaborate with MacroPoint to provide a fleet tracking solution.


With MacroPoint, provider of mobile fleet management technology, companies can turn any cell phone into a fleet tracking device to monitor the location of loads and drivers. The Sylectus-MacroPoint joint fleet tracking solution is designed for private fleets of all sizes and includes the following features:

-The capability to monitor any driver, including loads brokered to third-party drivers
-DOT-compliant/hands-free capabilities providing an alternative to making regular "check" calls via handheld devices
-"Pay-for-play" model for fleets to add location tracking to any existing transportation management software without additional hardware requirements, long-term contracts or set-up fees

Stuart Sutton, senior director at Qualcomm Enterprise Services and general manager of Sylectus, says the move gives customers "access to a turnkey, intuitive and affordable fleet management system, enabling them to increase the efficiency and profitability of their operations."
