Dattco Inc, New Britain, Connecticut. has been named the Thermo King dealer in New England, formerly called Boston Thermo King and Thermo King of Hartford.
The two have now been combined to form Thermo King Northeast. Dattco also purchased the physical assets which Thermo King had used to service customers in that area.
The asset acquisition, which includes locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, will allow Dattco to offer Thermo King refrigeration products and services to its wide range of transport customers. Conversely, current Thermo King customers in the Northeast will receive the same quality refrigeration service with added vehicle and collision repair options offered by Dattco.
Dattco is widely known in the motorcoach and school bus industry, but has been a "best-kept secret" in the trucking business, said Don DeVivo, Dattco president. Becoming a Thermo King dealer will help them increase their footprint in that market.
Cattco has hired the majority of the employees from the Thermo King dealership in Boston and Hartford who will continue to deliver on transporters' needs with Thermo King products, aftermarket service and parts.
