Service Tire Truck Centers, Bethlehem, Pa., has added 16 commercial locations and a Michelin Retread Technologies retread shop to its commercial truck tire and retreading service business,
bringing the number of STTC's commercial tire locations to 43. This was made possible by a purchase from Tire Centers Inc (TCI). The addition of these locations extends STTC's footprint from New Hampshire to Virginia.
Service Tire's expanded footprint adds coverage in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and more locations in Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Virginia, along with the existing locations in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
With the addition of 16 commercial locations, Service Tire will also assume operation of the MRT retreading plant in Millbury, Mass. This plant produces both "Pre-Mold" retreads and "Custom Mold" retreads and will support the retreading needs of customers from New England to New Jersey.
"In this extremely competitive trucking environment, the needs of fleets are becoming more and more demanding," said Walt Dealtrey, COO of STTC. "With the Millbury retreading shop, we'll be able to support these needs with the turnaround time and quality retreads that exceed expectations. STTC is ready to roll up our sleeves and get busy with new challenges and territories."
The expanding footprint will give Service Tire commercial service locations in nine states in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic.
