For the fifth straight year, Webasto was voted as the best brand for air conditioning and heating systems for commercial vehicles by readers of Stuttgart, Germany-based ETM Verlag, a publisher
. Webasto won 67.3 percent of the votes through ETM Verlag's survey on "The Best Brands."
The survey polls about 8,100 readers and industry leaders from the commercial vehicle sector, which includes medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses. Webasto's in-cab air conditioning and heating solutions provide fuel savings and operate without engine idling. Webasto Product North America and its national distribution partner, WheelTime Network, sells and services these products throughout North America.
"Long distance drivers spend up to 20 hours a day in their vehicles," said Dr. Joachim Damasky, member of the management board of Webasto AG. "The fact that they can make their trips comfortably and rested not only means safe delivery for their loads but also they are more alert while driving. With our solutions we ensure that safety is guaranteed both in the heat of the summer and in the cold of winter."
