Kentucky Trailer has acquired Volunteer Trailer, a Nashville, Tenn.-based trailer service company and dealer of Kentucky Trailer products.
The transaction is effective immediately and allows Kentucky Trailer to provide direct service
to an expanded range of end-users in the Southeast United States. Founded in 1979, Volunteer Trailer continues to operate under the same name and the Tennessee-based employees and management will retain their current roles as new Kentucky Trailer employees.
This purchase enables Kentucky Trailer to increase its service business and leverage Volunteer Trailer's established customer base. That means Volunteer Trailer's maintenance and refurbishment facility now provides an additional connection to crucial service for customers who may otherwise send trailers to Kentucky Trailer Services in Louisville, Ky.
Kentucky Trailer manufactures custom moving vans for the moving and storage industry. Clients include Allied, Atlas, Mayflower, North American, United Van Lines, Wheaton World Wide Moving and many other moving companies. Additional specialty application customers include Frito-Lay and UPS.
