Heavy Duty Trucking recently caught up with Jon Fleck of Deflector to take a closer look at the company’s new Hubbub aerodynamic wheel cover.

Designed for both tractors and trailers, the Hubbub wheel cover takes a simplified approach to wheel aerodynamics. The lightweight design—just 28 ounces—uses a wire-frame structure with adjustable straps, allowing it to mount on either steel or aluminum wheels using a single part number.

The focus is also on cost, with the aim of making wheel covers a more practical aero option for trailers as well as tractors.

In this video, Fleck walks through the design and explains what sets it apart from previous wheel-cover approaches.
