The National Safety Council calls on federal leadership to reduce deaths in vehicle crashes.
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s Operation Safe Driver Week officially began today and will run through Saturday, July 18.
Four organizations – AAA, Consumer Reports, J.D. Power, and the National Safety Council – have come together to adopt standardized naming for advanced driver assistance technology in an effort to reduce confusion.

Roadway fatalities in the U.S. dipped slightly in 2018 to approximately 40,000, representing just a 1% decrease from 2017 and 2016, when 40,231 and 40,327 people were killed in motor vehicles crashes, respectively.
