The GiraffeG4 system offers drivers overhead protection by measuring the height of an upcoming low-clearance obstacle.
The GiraffeG4 has an exterior mounted sensor connected to an in-cab readout, which displays the exact height of an overhead obstacle, such as a bridge, trestle, tree, or awning.
Drivers program the GiraffeG4 with the vehicle’s height. If the height of the obstacle is too low for the truck to safely pass, the GiraffeG4 will flash and beep to let the driver know that it is unsafe to continue.
