Davco has re-engineered the Fuel Pro 483 fuel filter/water separator to include engine coolant as a heat source. This re-engineered Fuel Pro 483 has the same footprint as the current model but new internal passages and four coolant ports allow warm engine coolant to act a heat source to prevent water freezing in the separator.

The Fuel Pro 483 features three heating options:

• 12V and 24V Pre-heaters: Preheats the fuel for 6 to 10 minutes before starting the engine.

• 120V Overnight heater: Provides heat from a plug-in source to prevent gelling when the truck is parked overnight.

• Coolant heat: Uses engine coolant as the heat source when the truck is on the road.

The coolant heat option is available now for the Fuel Pro 483, in time to order and install before the next polar vortex hits.
