Ford celebrated 100 years of trucks on July 26, 2017. The date marks the centennial of the first Ford truck, the Model TT, offered to the public.
The 2017 Fleet Safety Conference opened Tuesday with a keynote from the National Safety Council's Deborah Hersman, who also spoke on Monday at an NTSB-NSC roundtable about advanced driver assistance systems. Safety awards were given at a luncheon. The second day of the conference featured a session from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security - TSA regarding security threats against transportation fleets. Volvo Trucks North America's new Volvo VNL series highway tractor, with improved fuel economy and designed with the driver in mind, is available in several configurations, including an all-new, 70-inch sleeper.
The official Grand Opening of Rush Truck Centers' new Denver location took place June 26. The new facility is located at 6955 E. 50th street in Commerce City CO. Directly across the street is Rush's new Ford light and medium-duty truck shop. Both sites are new from the ground up and replace existing stores in the Denver area.
