After seeing Nikola's hydrogen-powered military and recreational vehicles, as well as its European truck, the highlight of the opening night of Nikola World was the unveiling of the Nikola Two.

Nikola founder and CEO Trevor Milton called the Nikola Two “800 volts of real. Everyone said it would never work."

Nikola says the range needed for long-haul operations is possible because it has designed the hydrogen tanks right into the frame of the truck.

The company says there are currently more than 13,000 Nikola trucks on order. But the first ones won't make it into fleet hands until 2020 or 2021, and those will be in limited numbers.

The NikolaTwo introduced at Nikola World was painted red to honor the company's 800-truck order from Anheuser Busch.

The Tre (“tre” is Norwegian for “three”) was designed in response to widespread interest from European customers.

A special extra bonus unveiled at the end of the evening was what Trevor Milton called the "stormtrooper" version of the Nikola Two, after the Star Wars troops.
