Refrigerated carrier FFE Transportation Services Inc. will give away a Freightliner Century show truck at the conclusion of its Driver Appreciation Week celebration in August 2005.

This will the second time FFE has given a show truck to a deserving driver.
To be eligible for the award, drivers must meet a certain average of miles driven per week, have on time delivery, good customer service and observe minimal safety requirements.
After careful review of all eligible drivers, Steve Hester was chosen as the winner of FFE’s first Great Truck Give-A-Way. Hester’s story with FFE began in January 2004. Since 1978 he had been a company driver for various carriers and desperately wanted to jump-start his career as an owner-operator, but lacked the funds to buy his own tractor. After researching several opportunities, Hester chose FFE because they offered a lease purchase program with payments as low as $379 per week. With the FFE lease program, the company allows contractors to purchase the tractor they’ve been leasing once their lease expires.
After his big win, Hester remained with the FFE. He has been driving a dedicated run from California to the Northeast, which allows him to get home every two weeks for two to three days at a time.
Brian Etchision, director of FFE’s Owner-Operator Division said, “Hester has been an excellent business man for our company and we would love to have 1,000 more just like him.”
FFE is seeking company drivers and owner-operators. If you would like the chance to earn $1.02 per mile, along with a $2,000 sign-on bonus, call (800) 569-9298, or visit www.ffeinc.com.
