The switch can be used on utility and delivery vehicles, as well as vehicles with in-cab amenities and ancillary on-board equipment, such as snowplows, hoists, pumps and floodlights.

With a rating of 100A at 12V or 24V DC, the switch has a service life that exceeds one million on/off cycles. Its manual override feature allows users to connect or disconnect the when needed.

According to the company, SureStart LVD does not need a separate solenoid to control high current. The device is also designed to resist moisture, salt spray, vibration and shock.
