McGard announced the introduction of Heavy Duty Truck Wheel Locks to prevent the theft of wheels and tires.
The locks are made of high-quality alloy steel and come with specially coded patterns that engage with corresponding patterns on a key/adapter tool. Each fleet pattern will be registered with McGard to make ordering locks and keys more convenient. The wheel locks can be installed to the recommended torque for lug nuts using an impact style or standard lug wrench.
Wheel locks can help fleets avoid increased insurance costs, scheduling and delivery delays, additional expenses for downtime, cost of stolen equipment, the loss of perishables, lost business and vehicle damage. The wheel locks can be ordered individually or in packaged sets for operators.
