"We understand that keeping fleets up and running on time is critical to the oil field and logging industries. BDY2 is a next-generation design offering more aggressive traction than its predecessor," says Chris Hoffman, product manager for global tire products at Bandag. "Our retread tire design complements the new Bridgestone M775 on/off highway radial tires and has rapidly been put into use by fleets in both Canada and the western United States."
The Bandag BDY2 32/32nd features an extra deep block and open shoulders to meet these fleets' need for aggressive traction.
Bandag is the operating name of Bridgestone Bandag LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc. Bandag manufactures retreading materials and equipment for its worldwide network of more than 800 franchised dealers. Bandag's traditional business serves end-users through a wide variety of products offered by dealers, ranging from tire retreading and repairing to tire management systems outsourcing for commercial truck fleets. Tire Distribution Systems, Inc. (TDS), a wholly owned subsidiary, sells and services new and retread tires. In addition, Bandag has an 87.5 percent interest in Speedco Inc., which provides on-highway truck lubrication and routine tire services to commercial truck owner-operators and fleets.
