Stemco has added a new wireless data collection system to its portfolio of mileage products.

Coupled with the company’s DataTrac SVT, the GateReader SVT is designed to provide data to fleet managers wirelessly and automatically to improve maintenance practices and increase fleet safety, Stemco officials said in a press release.

The product attaches on or near the gate at the entrance of the yard and wirelessly captures readings from the DataTrac SVT electronic hubodometer attached to each vehicle’s wheel end.

SVT, which stands for Stemco Vehicle Technology, is a new denotation which indicates a product is equipped with smart technology. The company’s DataTrac and WebPortal have been rebranded with the SVT denotation.
