Cargo Transporters President Dennis Dellinger has added CEO to his title and announced more high-level promotions at the North Carolina-based carrier.

Dellinger has been with Cargo Transporters since 1986, previously holding the titles of president, vice president, director of operations, fleet leader and others. He also holds two positions within the American Trucking Associations and sits on the advisory board of The Trucking Alliance.

"Year after year, Dennis has proven to be an outstanding leader in our organization as well as the industry," said John Pope, chairman of Cargo Transporters, in an announcement. "He has a vision for what his operation should be and how to achieve those goals."

Cargo Transporters also announced that Jerry Sigmon Jr. has been named chief operating officer and Adam Heavneer has assumed the role of vice president of sales. Jerry Sigmon Sr. will continue in the role of executive vice president, responsible for general operation analytics, strategic planning, budgets, models and macro pricing.

"We are excited that Jerry, Adam and Jerry will be leading these areas,” said Dellinger. “We are confident that each these individuals' abilities are well suited for and will be instrumental in our company's growth and success."
