Bergstrom Parksmart HVAC Units in Freightliners Recalled

An electrical defect in a cab/sleeper heater-air conditioner has prompted recalls by the supplier and by the truck manufacturer that installed the units. An electrical defect in the wiring harness can create heat and the potential for fires, the manufacturers' notices say.

Recall Issued for Some Kenworth T4 and W9 Models

Paccar is recalling a little more than 800 Kenworth model year 2010-2012 T4 and W9 series vehicles because of a risk of a vehicle fire. The trucks affected were manufactured Nov. 13, 2009, through Aug. 26, 2011.
