Peterbilt is offering new, lightweight Alcoa Ultra aluminum wheels as a factory-installed option for all Peterbilt heavy-duty trucks.
The Alcoa Ultra wheels have a load rating of 14,600 pounds and are 5 pounds lighter than previous wheels with the same rating. They are made from a MagnaForce alloy that provides higher strength with a lower weight.
The wheels are also compatible with air-disc brakes, a standard feature on the steering axles of Class 8 Peterbilt trucks.
