McLaren Doors has announced the Streamline Hinge, also known as the SL-Hinge, that is designed to provide faster installation and easier serviceability of the company’s Streamline doors.

The SL-Hinge allows the door to be divided into sections that can be installed by one or two people without the use of machines. The hinge is manufactured out of extruded aluminum to prevent potential corrosion and it is secured using stainless steel rivets to keep Streamline Series doors rust free.

The standard configuration for the hinge will be one SL-Hinge on all dry freight and refrigerated models, and two SL-Hinges on the Streamline freezer model. These configurations ensure that the weight and size of the sections are a manageable lifting weight for companies where only one or two installers may be available.

Customers will also be given the ability to add additional hinges to further reduce section sizes. Additionally, the Streamline Hinge can be retrofitted to work on older McLaren style and Roador style door models, allowing for easier immediate repair and future serviceability.
