Petro-Canada Lubricants released the Duron-E UHP 5W-30 full synthetic, low viscosity oil for heavy duty diesel engines. The heavy-duty diesel engine oil can deliver better engine protection and better fuel economy, the company says.

Low viscosity oils offer fuel economy benefits, but the Duron-E UHP 5W-30 is designed to protect the engine better as well.

“Fuel savings can be achieved in a low viscosity oil such as 5W-30,” said Barnaby Ngai of Petro-Canada Lubricants. “However, we know that reliability and uptime remain critical in keeping fleets moving.”

The Duron-E UHP 5W-30 is made up of 99.9% pure base oils which help the product maintain fresh oil properties while playing a role in preventing oxidative thickening and viscosity breakdown. These base oils are key to the oil’s ability to minimize sludge and piston top groove deposits, says Petro-Canada.

Duron-E UHP 5W-30 is available in North America and Europe and is approved by major global OEMs like Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Volvo and Mack.
