Aljex Software, Middlesex, N.J., said Tuesday that its cloud-based transportation management software now integrates with carrier qualification and onboarding applications from Registry Monitoring Insurance Services.

The integration of RMIS’s CRS Plus with the Aljex TMS will automate carrier qualification prior to shipment, the company said, and allows a carrier to supply qualification information such as its DOT number and other legal information while accepting the broker’s contract via a web page.

After getting the required information from the carrier, the RMIS application verifies the carrier’s authority, safety rating, CSA Basic scores and insurance. Insurance information is monitored daily and updated as needed, the company said.

A key benefit of the integration for their customers, the company said, was that it allowed brokers to qualify and on-board carriers into their systems more efficiently without increased back-office support.
