Trucking For a Cure raises funds for breast cancer research and holds two convoys each year in Woodstock and Prescott, Ontario. Nearly 130 trucks participated in this year’s events, raising more than $114,500 CAD. Some enter the convoy for personal reasons, other to support friends or family members. Many other have no personal connection to breast cancer at all but support the cause just the same.

It's not clear if this was was a tribute or a testament to the fighters. There were eight bras on this truck, each with at least one name on it.


Yes, that's HDT Equipment Editor, Jim Park (the taller one) dressed a fine pink ensemble, along with Joanne Ritchie, the executive director of the Owner-Operators Business Association of Canada. They are Team OBAC, and they have participated in the Trucking for a Cure Convoy for the past five years. This year, Team OBAC raised over $3,600 for the cause. Lifetime contributions total slightly less than $10,000

This year 78 trucks participated in the 20-mile convoy, which raised more than $85,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

This truck carries a poignant reminder of the need to carry on the battle against breast cancer. Over it's nine-year history, Convoy for a Cure has contributed over $700,000 to the fight.



Drivers spend some time getting their trucks ready for the event as witnessed by the collections of decorations.

This fleet has been supporting the Convoy for a Cure since the beginning, and now operates several pinked-out concrete mixers. The customers often request deliveries from the pinkies.
