The new Hino XL is powered by Hino’s A09 8.9L inline 6-cylinder diesel engine and will be offered in both straight truck and tractor configurations.in Class 7 and 8 weight ratings.

Chevy's new 4500HD (pictured), 5500HD, and 6500HD chassis cabs cover GVWs from 15,000 pounds in Class 4 to 22,900 pounds in Class 6. Chevrolet hasn't offered a medium-duty chassis cab since 2009.

LIke its new medium-duty stablemates, the Class 6 Chevy Silverado 6500HD chassis cab is powered by a standard Duramax 6.6L turbo-diesel engine (the only engine available on the Silverado) mated to a choice of Allison transmissions. The trucks will put out 350 hp at 700 lb.-ft. of torque.

Shown at NTEA, the 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman is available in two cabs — Quad Cab and Crew Cab — and two bed lengths — 6 feet, 4 inches and 5 feet, 7 inches. Buyers will have access to the same engines available in the non-Tradesman model, including the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 with eTorque mild hybrid technology and 5.7-liter HEMI V-8.

Chevy returned to the medium-duty conventional cab market with new Silverado 4500/5500 HD Class 4/5 models and 6500 HD Class 6 model, seen here being the center of attention after its dramatic reveal.

The new Ford Transit Connect will offer the EcoBlue diesel engine, which Ford said should achieve an EPA-estimated 30 mpg on the highway. The engine is mated with an 8-speed transmission.

International launched a new medium-duty Class 6/7 vehicle, the MV Series, at the show. It replaces the DuraStar and is designed to be highly "driver-centric," according to the OEM.

Mack announced new features for its Granite MHD truck and displayed this Bulldog of a Snowplow to show how its Granite Axle Forward can provide increased ground clearance for underbody scrapers.
