A range of new battery-electric trucks, rated all the way up to Class 7, were rolled out for the first time ever on the show floor during Work Truck Week 2023, held at the Indianapolis Convention Center.

JB Poindexter Co. showed off its EAVX and Morgan Olson business units’ Proxima concept, a “reimagined” Class 5 walk-in body with “chassis-flexible” design that will offer “significant advantages for both electric and IC powertrains.”

The Shyft Group presented its new all-electric Class 5 Crew Cab. The truck features a walk-in-van style cab with sliding door and weather-protected steps for safe curbside entrance and exit. The interior at 85 inches high and 88.5 inches wide lets crews “walk up into the cab, stand or sit comfortably.”
