2015 HDT Fact Book: Highways

Of the country’s 610,749 bridges, a total of 145,890 are considered deficient by the U.S. Federal Highway Administration. The total inludes 61,365 bridges that are deemed structurally deficient and 84,525 that are labeled as functionally obsolete.



The number of toll roads keeps growing as governments try to figure out how to pay for infrastructure.
