Eric Bearly was involved in the fleet industry for over 10 years, serving in various sales and marketing roles at Bobit Business Media. During his tenure as publisher, Eric oversaw Government Fleet Magazine’s day-to-day operations and played a significant role in planning and implementing new ideas. He was also responsible for developing the concept and managing the Government Fleet Expo & Conference. Eric was dedicated to promoting the achievements of leading public sector fleet managers through his involvement in the Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year award and the Leading Fleets award.

Leading Economic Indicators and Consumer Sentiment Rise

A barometer of future U.S. economic activity rose in April following a drop in March, signaling growth could speed up later in the year. The Index of Leading Economic Indicators from the private research group The Conference Board, shows a 0.6% gain in April to 95, following a downwardly revised 0.2% drop in March.
